Return to $1 gas?

Hello guys: I read recently that some knowledgeable folks have been looking at the possibility of the US motorists paying $1 for gas in the next year. If someone suggested the same thing as early as July, the suggestion would be regarded as a desperate wish. But the circumstances had it that we are now at the national average at $2 per gallon nation. Could the price really hit the $1 mark and stay that way for some time? I can remember when I was a teenager in High School gas was 18 cent per gallon – believe that or not! Papa Chuck
